The standard Green Pin harp shackles are equipped with a safety bolt and a split pin, providing maximum safety and security during lifting operations. These shackles are recommended for operations where friction may be exerted on the pin or bolt since a standard screw collar pin could potentially become unscrewed in such scenarios, while the safety bolt remains in place. The Green Pin shackles are made of high tensile strength steel up to grade 6 and are quenched and tempered, enabling them to be used with the hot dip galvanized finish over a wide temperature range from minus 40 degrees to plus 200 degrees Celsius. This series of Green Pin shackles with safety bolts has a safety ratio of 6:1, where the minimum breaking load is six times the working load limit, and they are available in sizes up to 55 tons.
