Shortening Hook | Eye Type and Secure Locking | Grade 80

Shortening hook with locking device for tensioning loads. This product is often used in combination with a lifting chain to shorten a chain. The bore of the shortening hook is a pin with a spring. By securing the chain with a pin, the chain will not fall out of the hook when the chain is not under tension. 

This type of shortening hook with eye connection can be mounted by means of, for example, a connecting link.

The eye shortening hook with locking is for tensioning loads. Because it is a tensioning device and not a lifting device, we also talk about a tensioning capacity (LC) instead of a lifting capacity.
